PreferredFlorist.com works with local florists, funeral service providers and churches to bring the best floral options to you. Not all florists are the same. The florist who will handle your order was PERSONALLY selected by the local funeral service provider, church administrator or as a result of local market research performed by a PreferredFlorist.com representative.
How to Place an Order
We've designed the PreferredFlorist.com website to make it quick and simple for you to place an order. After you've found the flowers or plant you want to send, click on the item name or image and follow the instructions below.
Select Your Product and Choose Your Preferences. On the product information page we have made it very quick and easy to finish your selection by including several functions on one single page.
1) Select when you would like to have it delivered;
2) How you would like to customize your gift and;
3) What you would like to have written on your card included with the arrangement.
For example, in some instances, you will be asked whether you want to send your gift as shown or in a deluxe or premium arrangement, or you may have the option to include something extra with your gift like a keepsake bracelet, special card or some other item to enhance your thoughtful gift.
Next you may enter your sentiment. We know that writing a card is not always easy therefore, we provided options which will help you with your thoughtful expression.
Once you have completed your selections and sentiment, click Add to Cart. Your gift will be stored in your personal shopping cart, and you can either continue browsing by clicking on Return to Shopping or proceed to Checkout.
Proceed to checkout. When you are ready to check out, click on the Shopping Cart link at the top of the page, and then select Checkout.
We never require you to register. You may always check out as a guest. However, if you have already registered before and are a returning shopper, enter your PreferredFlorist.com password.
Next tell us who will be paying for this item and click “continue” or “Bill to This Address”
You will be asked for the name of the person you are honoring. This is very important information needed by the florist, funeral service provider or church which will be used to ensure that your gift is received by the family. Because you are using the preferred florist of the funeral home or church, your order will be handled by a team of people who regularly work together and can resolve any unforeseen challenges more efficiently.
Funeral service providers and churches regularly receive floral deliveries on behalf of the families they are serving; you will either be given a simple checkbox with the local funeral service provider’s address or you may be offered our mapping feature to which we have provided for your convenience save you time.
If you do not send your gift to a funeral service provider or church, you may also select to deliver to a private residence or other location. We will just need an accurate address. And click “Continue”
Your complete order is ready for review and at this time if you have a Gift Card or Promotional Code, you may enter that password here.
PreferredFlorist.com transmits all credit card information using the best software available for secure commerce transactions. Enter your payment method and click “Pay for Order”.
Your order will be received by PreferredFlorist.com, and the hand selected local florist will begin creating your arrangement.
PreferredFlorist.com will send a confirmation e-mail to the e-mail address you indicated at Log In. Save your confirmation e-mail for future reference.
Order Changes and Cancellations
PreferredFlorist.com is unable to cancel or change orders already in process at the florist, en route or delivered. Same-day orders are processed immediately, and usually cannot be changed. If you are calling about an order issue or concern, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you prefer.

Orders delivered to Texas are subject to sales tax. Orders placed from Texas are also subject to sales tax. You will have an opportunity to review this amount before submitting your order.
A service fee of $14.95 or less is applied to all flower and plant orders delivered in the U.S and Canada.
Every PreferredFlorist.com gift is personally hand-delivered by an industry professional, and we make every effort to deliver your order as quickly as possible.
Most of our products can be delivered the same day. To assure same-day delivery, orders must be received before 1:00 pm, Monday - Saturday. Orders received on Sunday or after 1:00 pm monday – saturday will be delivered the following day.
Regretfully, we are unable to guarantee time of delivery to rural route addresses, hotels, hospitals, military bases or cemeteries. To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Instructions field during checkout. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.
Before major holidays, we recommend that you place your orders at least five days in advance.
Please note that a service fee of $14.95 USD or less is applied to all flower and plant orders delivered in the U.S. and Canada. Appropriate GST fees will be added to your transaction in Canada.
Delivery to Hospitals
The florists in our PreferredFlorist.com network are experienced at making deliveries to hospitals. When placing your order, please be sure to include the hospital name and telephone number, the name of the recipient and room number or ward of the recipient in the special instructions section.
PreferredFlorist.com will send your gift bouquet in accordance with facility procedures, as most hospitals do not allow florists to personally deliver to individual rooms. Please note that many ICU patients are not permitted to receive flowers. Please check with the hospital before placing your order.
Recipient Not Home
If you have specific instructions for the delivery of your gift bouquet, please note them in the Special Delivery Instructions field during checkout. In all other cases, if the recipient is not at home when the neighborhood florist attempts a delivery, they will either:
Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time
Leave a note on the recipient's door asking them to contact the florist to schedule a delivery time
Leave the arrangement in a covered, secure area of the home (porch, garage, or other entrance)
Leave the gift bouquet with a neighbor and place a message on the recipient's door with this information
Occasionally, substitutions of flowers or containers are necessary due to temporary, regional availability issues. If this is the case with the gift you've selected, our experienced florists will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value.
